Our lunging pens are thoughtfully crafted to ensure a controlled environment, ideal for groundwork, rehabilitation, and conditioning. We use high-quality materials, from durable fencing to premium footing options like silica sand or rubber, that offer excellent stability, traction, and cushioning, minimising the risk of slips and injuries for horses during training sessions.

This larger lunging pen provides additional space for more advanced training, allowing you to incorporate jumps and obstacles into your sessions. The extra room enables horses to move more freely, making it ideal for more complex exercises such as lateral movements, pole work, and jumping.
20m (65 Feet)
Our largest standard size lunging pen is spacious enough to accommodate any form of training you require. Whether you're working on advanced dressage movements, incorporating jumps and obstacles, or conducting high-level conditioning exercises, this pen provides ample room for horses to perform at their best. The Process

Consultation and Site Assessment: We begin by discussing your specific needs and evaluating the location. Our team assesses the ground conditions, drainage requirements, and size to determine the best materials and layout for your lunging pen.

Design and Planning: Based on the consultation, we create a customised design tailored to your requirements. This includes the choice of surface materials, such as rubber, carpet fibre, or silica sand, and additional features like fencing or gates to ensure the pen is secure and functional.

Ground Preparation: Proper groundwork is essential for the longevity of the pen. We start by clearing the area and grading the site to ensure proper drainage. A geotextile membrane is laid to prevent weed growth and enhance drainage.

Base Layer Installation: A compacted base layer, usually made of aggregate or crushed stone, is installed to create a stable foundation. This base provides support, improves drainage, and prevents waterlogging.

Surface Installation: The chosen all-weather surface is then applied on top of the base layer. Whether it’s rubber, silica sand, or carpet fibre, the surface is carefully leveled and compacted to create a smooth, even finish that offers both comfort and traction for horses.

Fencing and Finishing Touches: We install durable fencing around the perimeter of the pen to ensure safety and containment. Gates and other accessories are fitted according to the design plan, completing the installation.

Final Inspection and Handover: Once the pen is constructed, our team conducts a thorough inspection to ensure the quality of the installation. We then walk you through the finished pen, ensuring it meets your expectations and is ready for use.
